Hiyyyya! I'm Rachel.

New mom to the sweetest baby girl, engaged to my amazing fiancé, and someone who has spent pretty much my entire working life in hospitality.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved connecting with people, taking care of the little details, and figuring out how to make things run just a little bit smoother. My friends and family would also lovingly tell you that I'm slightly too organized and a little "scrunchy" with my lifestyle — both of which, funny enough, helped lead me here.

For nearly 10 years, I built my career with the same company, working my way from the bottom up in a fast-paced, high-demand industry. I loved the people and I loved being of service, but when my maternity leave started coming to an end, something had changed.

What mattered most to me had changed.

I wanted to be present for my daughter. I wanted to build the core memories, be there for the little moments, and create a stable life for my family — without feeling like I had to choose between being the mom I wanted to be and doing work that genuinely fulfilled me.

I knew I still wanted to work with people. I still wanted to create, problem-solve, organize, support, and be the person someone could turn to and say, "Okay, I have this idea… now how the heck do I make it happen?"

And with a little leap of faith, Built By Rachel Studio was born.

The funny thing is, so much of what I do now has always come naturally to me. I've always been slightly too organized, extremely hands-on, quick to learn, and the person looking for a system, tool, or better way to make life easier. BBRS gave me a place to take all of those things I already loved doing and use them to support other people.

Today, that can look like organizing the behind-the-scenes of a growing business, creating systems that take things off someone's plate, brainstorming an idea until it finally clicks, or bringing a sentimental project to life for a moment someone never wants to forget.

Because my favorite projects are the ones that start as "I have this idea…" and end with something real, useful, and thoughtfully built.
